“Morley Pedals is the name of a guitar effects pedal company, famous for manufacturing wah-wah pedals and other treadle type effects for guitar”. I caught up with Tommy Bolan guitarist for Doro Pesch the voice of Warlock at the Morley booth at NAMM 2018 (National Association of Music Merchants).

I’m with Tommy Bolan of Doro Pesch Warlock at the Morley Booth at NAMM 2018

Tommy Bolan: There you go.

And we just finished watching your demo.

Yep, do the shred.

I understand you endorse Morley Pedals?

Oh yeah, for a long time yeah, Morley is always a great company I use all their Wah-Wah pedals out of their accessories.

Do you have a signature pedal?

Not yet but we’re talking about it.

Nice, nice.  I covered Doro Pesch the voice of Warlock shows at the Whisky a Go Go, September of last year.

Tommy: Right.

You mentioned that you were working on a new album with her.

Yeah well, she has a new Doro record coming out and she’s already stated in the press a bunch of times, you know. I’ve done some writing on it and I’m playing on it and stuff so it’s going to be awesome because it comes out in August 2018.

How does it feel to be collaborating again?

It feels awesome. Like she said, we’re picking up right where we left off, the chemistry great, she’s great, she’s got a great band, they’re all great guys you know as I get along with everybody perfect it’s like family. It’s like coming home.

Doro is a little spitfire, she’s awesome! Will you tour the new release?

Yeah, we’ll play the Monster of Rock cruise, I know they’re talking about another South America, and America is in the works. I know we’re playing Graspop in Belgium – I think the same as Guns’ N’ Roses, the Wacken festival which I’ll be part of. I know there’s Full Metal Holliday 2018 in Spain, a small tour with Nightwish and the Bloodstock Open Air and a whole bunch of great stuff going on.

You’ll be touring the festival season?

Yeah, I’ll be playing, I’ll be there.

When will you be back in the States?

There’s talk about a US tour being put together.

Great! I look forward to that!

Because we had such a great response on the Triumph and Agony tour in the States.

Yes, the Whisky was sold out! You couldn’t move or breath.

Yeah, it was.

Thank you very much for a few minutes of your time, see you at a show soon!

Awesome!!
