Arkells Release New Single “Money” feat. Portugal. The Man; Announced as Performers at 2026 JUNO Awards + New Album & 2026 Tour News

Nine-time JUNO Award winners Arkells have released their new single, “Money,” featuring Portugal. The Man, out today via Universal Music Canada and Virgin Music Group. The feel-good, synth-infused track explores one of the most universally complicated relationships we all share — money.

“The pull of money is hard to escape. It’s tangled up in vanity, competition, ego, and dreams of the future — but it’s a godless place to live,” says frontman Max Kerman.

“There are so many invisible forces that guide us, and we’re trying to keep money from sitting too high on the list. We felt like the song was almost there when we realized John from Portugal. The Man — our favourite American with a streak of rebellion — was exactly the voice to bring it home.”

“Money” follows the band’s recent single “What Good?”, released October 30 as the first track from their forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album, expected in 2026. The accompanying music video for “Money” was released alongside the single.

About Arkells

Whether rocking stadiums, lighting up dance floors, or gathering fans around a campfire, Arkells have always delivered the same message: everyone is welcome here. Since their beginnings, the band has remained committed to soundtracking the best nights of your life while offering comfort in your darkest hours.

Their ever-evolving sound blends the anthemic power of alt-rock, the passion of vintage soul, the intimacy of singer-songwriter music, modern indie edge, and contemporary R&B. That eclectic spirit has made Arkells one of the most heavily rotated acts on radio and all-time record holders for JUNO “Group of the Year.”

From global sports broadcasts and top-tier video games to major festival stages like Coachella and Bonnaroo, Arkells continue to expand their reach — always driven by the belief that every show is a chance to prove themselves all over again.

As they like to say: “We understand the assignment.” The first rule of rock ‘n’ roll is to play every show like it’s your last—but as Arkells prove night after night, it’s just as important to hold onto the unbridled energy and enthusiasm of your first.
