Press release –
Chemical Tribe is a four piece rock band consisting of veterans of the Las Vegas music scene. Featuring lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Dominick Muzio and guitarist Shawn Trojahn, both formerly of the critically acclaimed indie act Wicked Garden, the band also has a strong pedigree with its rhythm section. Bassist John Robinson has been an L.A. and Las Vegas based multi instrumentalist for 20 years, and is the son of legendary drummer John “JR” Robinson. Drummer Matt Norcross originally manned the kit for The Killers and has spent the last 10 years as a member of Leaving Springfield.
Chemical Tribe coalesced during the last 2 years originally as the backing band for Muzio’s solo release ‘Candy at a Funeral’, but recently have announced that they will continue performing and recording as a full time band. “I called my friends to help me promote my record. We had a couple other members come and go due to scheduling issues, but the this lineup just clicked so well in every way. They added so much depth to my songs, I felt it was time to give them their own identity, instead of just being a backing band,” says Muzio.
The band recorded thier first single “Wasting Time” at Vegas based Asteroid M Records, with engineer Cody Leavitt. “Cody created such a great vibe. He let us just go in and play the song our way and let it come naturally,” Norcross said. As for the song itself, fans who have been following the members of Chemical Tribe for years may notice a musical direction that they may not be known for. Says Shawn, “It’s got a pop-punk feel to it, and yet it’s still a hard rock song, it’s almost an undefinable genre.”
As the band’s catalogue grows past Muzio’s original recordings, the band intends to take a collaborative approach to new music, with plans for more singles to be released in 2025, with a possible full album on the horizon.
“Everyone has an amazing ear for a good melody in this band.” says bassist Robinson. ” We get in a room and start jamming and someone always has an idea that we can work on.” Bruises, Scars and Serenity will be released in early 2026, and the band will do regional dates in support of the release.
