IRON SAVIOR proudly presents their new album Reforged – Machine World, the third chapter in their acclaimed re-recording series that ignites fresh fire into timeless anthems from their legacy. This thunderous collection features reimagined classics drawn from the band’s prolific early 2000s era, along with a turbocharged cover of JUDAS PRIEST’s “Starbreaker,” all delivered through their signature fusion of futuristic power metal and classic heavy metal intensity.
The album opens with “Never Say Die” [from 2001’s Dark Assault], a high-octane, sci-fi-fueled anthem that rockets through the stars with blistering speed. A rallying cry of defiance and unity, it summons warriors for a final battle against encroaching cosmic darkness, weaving imagery of “dragons of light,” “wings of hope,” and skyward flight into an interstellar call to arms, melodic, powerful, and heroic.
Next, “Eye of the World” [also from Dark Assault] unfolds as a galactic odyssey blending mythic prophecy with cosmic sci-fi. It follows a lone wanderer returning across the stars to defend a forgotten homeland, confronting past mistakes and ancient betrayals. Echoes of Atlantis and timeless secrets turn this journey into a cosmic revelation spanning space and time.
“Walls of Fire” [from 2002’s Condition Red] erupts as a gritty battle hymn forged in survival’s chaos. Set amid firestorms and relentless pursuit, it portrays soldiers clinging to hope in hellish conditions. The defiant vow “This is a bad day for dying” embodies unyielding warrior spirit.
“Time Will Tell” [from 2004’s Battering Ram] slows the pace but deepens the stakes with an apocalyptic vision. Set in a scorched, machine-ruled wasteland, it questions humanity’s legacy amid nuclear devastation. The haunting refrain “Only time will tell if there’ll be heaven or hell” echoes across a dystopian silence, blending despair and hope.
“Dragons Rising” [from Dark Assault] tells the tale of a legendary hero’s rebirth. Once a mighty leader in the ancient “Savior War,” the Dragon rises from despair as destiny ignites his inner flames. This power metal myth channels themes of identity, strength, and rebirth.
“Stonecold” [from 1999’s Interlude EP] is a haunting, emotional dirge echoing through deep space. The narrator, abandoned and fading, reflects on lost dreams and love as systems fail and hope dims. The icy chorus repetition “stonecold” conveys crushing isolation and longing.
“Machine World” [also from Battering Ram] plunges into a dystopian maze of digital consciousness. Narrated by a sentient machine or mind trapped in cybernetic eternity, it questions life, purpose, and self-awareness. “I am god, I am death” declares the voice, yet even infinite knowledge cannot unravel existence within this cybernetic desert prison.
“Stand Against the King” [from Battering Ram] is a thunderous anthem of rebellion and vengeance. In a dark fantasy realm ruled by tyranny, an army rises to overthrow corruption and reclaim freedom. With rallying cries to “burn the crown,” this track surges with revolutionary fire and unbreakable will.
The album’s second half ignites with “Break It Up” [from 1997’s Iron Savior], a hard-hitting cautionary tale of addiction and self-destruction wrapped in relentless, high-energy power metal. The protagonist chases dreams but falls into a downward spiral of dangerous indulgence. Vivid lines like “flying high on borrowed illusions” and “dangerous joys running through your veins” evoke destructive obsession, while the “creature that rules your mind” symbolizes inner turmoil or addiction. The desperate chorus plea “break it up” cries for redemption before total collapse.
“Contortions of Time” [from 1999’s Interlude EP] launches a sci-fi power metal epic of interdimensional invasion. Alien Raiders of Time fracture reality through a rift, devouring worlds and warping space-time. Amid cosmic chaos, humanity stands defiant in an eternal struggle for liberty. Blending cosmic horror and mythic heroism, thunderous riffs and soaring vocals capture the urgency of a war across time and dimensions.
“Wings of Deliverance” [from Battering Ram] soars as an anthem of resilience and hope. Chronicling a grueling journey through barren landscapes and captivity, it captures strength fueled by memories and love. Themes of endurance and unbreakable bonds pulse through powerful riffs, underscoring an epic quest to break free and reunite.
“Touching the Rainbow” [from Interlude EP] delivers an uplifting message of battling despair and reclaiming hope. Through vivid imagery of pain and hardship, it insists on rising above shadows and breaking misery’s walls. The refrain “touch the rainbow” symbolizes freedom and courage, a vibrant journey from anguish to strength.
“I Will Be There” [from 2002’s Condition Red] celebrates self-discovery, redemption, and a triumphant return to light. Having left madness behind, the narrator emerges victorious, promising unwavering presence when called. Imagery of eternal mountains and burning sins enhances this soaring declaration of hope and salvation.
“Forevermore” [from 1999’s Unification] calls listeners to rise from darkness and embrace freedom beyond space and time. Urging unity as an eternal flame bound by courage, it conjures cosmic imagery like the rising evening star, celebrating the enduring power of hope and connection.
Finally, “H.N. Powered Man” [from Battering Ram] ignites with high-octane energy and rebellious spirit. Rejecting clichés, it focuses on the raw power and fire of true metal warriors. Thunderous walls of sound and pounding rhythms celebrate individuality and defiance in a Heavy Metal powered world.
Closing the album, “Starbreaker” [JUDAS PRIEST Cover] bursts with cosmic energy and legendary power metal spirit. The tale of a mysterious cosmic traveler who glides down from the sky to steal hearts and whisk the chosen few on an interstellar voyage. Twin-guitar harmonies, thunderous drums, soaring vocals, atmospheric synths, and blazing solos combine to capture the vastness of space. This fiery anthem invites listeners to follow the celestial force into unknown realms, ending the album on a soaring, epic note blending sci-fi grandeur with classic power metal adventure.
