Press release –

American hard rock band Hardline (featuring vocalist Johnny Gioeli of Axel Rudi Pell) are set to release new album Shout on April 17 via Steamhammer. The first single ‘Rise Up’ is the perfect foretaste of the album which spews the historical, current, and future melodic consistency of Hardline. It even references their own catalog!

“Our current album features our typical choruses and the classic songwriting style of Double Eclipse supported by a contemporary production and state-of-the-art sound. The album gives you that feeling you get when you roll down your car window and turn up the radio on full blast,” says Gioeli, describing the ten new songs.

He adds, “This band doesn’t want to reinvent its music. Hardline is Hardline, and our fans know what to expect from us!”

  • Hardline was created by brothers Johnny Gioeli and Joey Gioeli, who had previously played in the band’s Killerhit and Brunette. Johnny is now the only remaining original member.

  • The full story of Hardline starts with their 1992 classic Double Eclipse. After all, that was the moment when this hard rock act’s unique artistic DNA was created. The album was very well received and led to consistent airplay and tours with Extreme and Mr. Big.

  • Since then, Hardline have released six studio albums. For Gioeli, Shout is officially the 108th (!!!) album in which he has been actively involved as a musician.

  • In addition to nine songs composed by Gioeli, keyboardist Allesandro Del Vecchio and guitarist Luca Princiotta, Shout features a cover version of the Scorpions classic “When You Came Into My Life.” It is definitely one of the biggest surprises and shining moments of the album.

  • In mid-April 2026, Hardline are embarking on a major European tour to translate the album’s motto into performance.
