Born from a deep love of soul, rock, jazz, and progressive rhythm & blues, Shuffle Knights is a Swedish 18-piece collective made up of world-traveled musicians whose resumes span jazz clubs, symphony orchestras, and major rock festivals around the globe. Individually, the members have performed with artists including Taylor Swift, CeeLo Green, Robyn, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion, Mike Stern, Yusuf Islam, and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, among many others.

Now, the expansive ensemble unveils Yellow — a bold collection of thirteen original songs written and shaped during the isolation of the pandemic, created entirely without restraint. Drawing inspiration from icons such as Leon Russell, Nina Simone, Lou Reed, and Funkadelic, the album delivers a fearless fusion of heavy grooves, cinematic soul, swinging rock poetry, and progressive R&B grandeur.

At the center of Shuffle Knights are founders Tobbe Fall (guitar/vocals), Jenny Fall (vocals), and Henrik “The Duke of Honk” Widén (vocals/keys). Widén — also co-founder of legendary Swedish glam rock institution Diamond Dogs — serves as the band’s primary songwriter, making the group’s partnership with Wild Kingdom Records a natural fit.

With a lineup featuring multiple vocalists, percussionists, horns, strings, and a driving rhythm section, Shuffle Knights thrives in glorious excess — equal parts big band spectacle, psychedelic soul revue, and rock ’n’ roll orchestra. It’s music designed to surprise listeners at first, then completely win them over once the groove takes hold.
