Press release –
Mixed and mastered by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia), Black Waves is the upcoming third album from Northern Norwegian heavy/power metal band Tomorrow’s Outlook.
The album will be released on March 27, 2026 via Battlegod Productions (Australia), in collaboration with the band’s own label and promo company Sörvik Rock Music.
Black Waves blends melodic heavy metal with a heavier, more direct form of power metal, deliberately avoiding the overly bombastic choirs often associated with the genre. Instead, the focus lies on atmosphere, storytelling, and a colder, more grounded sound shaped by Northern Norwegian history, folklore, and coastal tragedy — a sound the band describe as “Arctic Heavy Metal.”
The album features commanding vocals by Tony Johannessen (often compared to a young Bruce Dickinson) and represents the band’s most cohesive and atmospheric work to date. The visual universe of Black Waves, created by Rado Javor, reinforces the concept and ties the entire release together.
