He will no doubt have NO RECOLLECTION whatsoever as to our conversations during that timeframe, but I remember us discussing music and the abilities of the guitar to take on various personae, wielded by him, during our walks to and from Aldershot to North Shore towers?? I believe. He seemed to be a Jimi Hendrix afficianado at the time, which was all the more surprising to me in the years to come given the musical style demonstrated by Gordon Deppe and his fellow bandmates.
I have a special place in my Canadian heart to this day for the much under-appreciated Spoons, and I’m hoping to catch them live one of these days if the winds blow rightl
