March 28, 2018 – This week’s guests are Gordon Deppe and Sandy Horne of the Spoons!
Spoons is a Canadian new wave band, formed in 1979 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. They recorded several Canadian chart hits between 1982 and 1989, and in 1983, they won Group of the Year at the U-Know awards (now known as the CASBY Awards). Their most popular songs include Romantic Traffic, Nova Heart, Old Emotions and Tell No Lies. Their last album, Static in Transmission, was released in 2011 and their latest single, Beautiful Trap, came out on October 16, 2017.
Deppe and Horne, the two original members, continue to play shows. Shane caught up with them prior to a recent show in St. Catharine’s, Ontario.
