Shane has played music since his early days learning drums from his dad when in grade school. Through the years, Shane has played in many bands; his latest being an all 80’s Glam Rock Band called Sunset Strip. Besides drumming, music journalism was a passion for Shane. In his late teens, Shane began his journey in the Radio and Television industry by working for many local radio and cable stations. This included hosting his own local Indie spotlight show on Max Ink Radio for BS LIVE ROCKS.

BS LIVE ROCKS is a full entertainment group that includes a television show twice a week airing in HD on Cogeco Cable. The show was created by Shane and his partner, Bobby R Rock, and features local music talent, music insiders, global leaders in the industry; including managers, record labels, and promoters.

BS LIVE ROCKS has interviewed members of high profile bands, such as Whitesnake, Guns and Roses, Brighton Rock, The Tea Party, Honeymoon Suite, Harem Scarem, Daughtry, Courtney Love, Finger 11, Carrie Underwood, and also Rich Redmond of the Jason Aldean Band. Furthermore, BS LIVE ROCKS has interviewed music insiders such as Taylor Swift’s one-time manager Rick Barker, Manager Bruce Palato, and Toronto Talent Buyer Steve Hoeg. Shane’s interviews with BS LIVE ROCKS have appeared on whitesnake.com, musiclifemagazine.net (which garners over two million hits permonth) and other online music publications.

BS LIVE ROCKS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP is a Live Music Event Planning and Music Promotions Company, along with Band Management. With BS LIVE ROCKS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP’s partner, Sessions on the River, Shane is part of the BS LIVE ROCKS Record Label and A&R team. One of Shane’s many roles is to source out new talent. For example, a celebrated Niagara talent, Craig Rewbury, has chosen BS LIVE ROCKS RECORDS as his label for his All-Star Compilation. The Album will be released in the Fall of 2017. Shane has been involved with Niagara Music Week and The Niagara Music Awards, as a host and coordinator. Shane has also been a Canadian Music Week day host. Shane has hosted many other events such as FloatFest, Feast Street, Grow Up Cannabis Conference and Expo, and CannaBiz in Toronto. In addition, Shane has been a main judge on the Niagara Voice Contest, as well as Heavy Toronto.

In 2017 Shane, along with his partner Bobby were a main partner in creating Niagara Music Week in Southern Ontario. The Week consisted of the 10th annual Niagara Music Awards which was hosted by BS LIVE ROCKS at the Greg Frewin Theatre in Niagara Falls in front of 600 people and broadcasted on Television. Shane is also responsible for the creation the first ever Conference in Niagara for Music which hosted panels guest such as Juno Award Winning producer Thomas Salter (Serena Ryder, FeFed Dobson, Chantel Kreviazuk) , Glass Tiger Founder and President of Radar Love Records Michael Hanson, Paul Morris Music Director at 97.7 HTZ along with many independent artists that have found success.

Over the past decade, Shane has been involved in many aspects of music media. From hosting a radio show on maxinkradio.com, with Bobby R Rock, to creating a website dedicated to the Niagara Music Scene. bsliverocks.com has approximately 10, 000 visitors a month. Highlights of the website include podcast features, interviews, music education sessions, read cd and live performance reviews, photos, and indie band videos. To this day, weekly interviews and podcast music education sessions are recorded for bsliverocks.com, and other music publications.
