Yes, we know! This isn’t music but how could we pass up the chance to photograph Canadian comic legend Howie Mandel?
Howie Mandel has spent more than four decades making audiences laugh, think, and cheer. Born in Toronto in 1955, Mandel first captured attention in the 1980s as the quirky Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the hit medical drama St. Elsewhere. His comedic talents soon expanded into voice acting — most notably as Gizmo in Gremlins — and as the creator and voice of the beloved animated series Bobby’s World.
Mandel’s quick wit and high-energy personality found a perfect home on television. He became a household name as the host of NBC’s smash hit game show Deal or No Deal and, since 2010, has been a fan-favorite judge on America’s Got Talent. He’s also hosted or produced a variety of shows, from prank series like Howie Do It to Netflix’s Bullsht: The Game Show*. His influence extends north of the border, too, as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent and the upcoming host of a new Canadian version of The Price Is Right.
In recent years, Mandel has embraced the digital age with Howie Mandel Does Stuff, a YouTube and podcast series co-hosted with his daughter, Jackelyn Shultz. The show blends humor, candid conversations, celebrity interviews, and playful father-daughter banter, offering fans a more personal glimpse into his life.
Whether on stage, screen, or behind a microphone, Howie Mandel continues to reinvent himself while keeping audiences entertained — proving that after decades in the spotlight, he’s still far from done.
