Press release –
Canadian electronic producer Eden FM has released his brand new single, “It’s You,” featuring singer-songwriter Violet Grace. The track serves as the lead single for his upcoming studio album, Ataxia, which will be released globally on May 1. The record is the first to be issued under a new global distribution partnership between his imprint, Cursus Audio, and ADA.
“It’s You” represents the first chapter of Ataxia, a nine-track collection of forward-thinking electronic music that explores the contrast between heavy grime and ambient melodies. Produced entirely in a bedroom studio, the album serves as a testament to the growth of the underground Canadian scene. The track features rising EDM artist Violet Grace, a collaboration that was ignited by a chance encounter in a grocery store, blending Eden’s deep, driving bass with Grace’s narrative-driven vocal style.
The release also marks the official launch of the distribution agreement between ADA and Cursus Audio. Originally founded as a personal outlet for Eden FM’s music, Cursus Audio has evolved into a collective with a vision for taking Canada’s most exciting underground electronic artists to the world stage. The Cursus Audio roster is already expanding with a focus on distinctive sound design. Joining the imprint is lucas lime, an underground bass trap and dubstep producer whose sonic signature utilizes rhythmic chaos and heavy bass. Lime is currently preparing for the May release of his debut album, until we wake up. The label also champions collaborators like Violet Grace, a genre-defying artist whose background in classical piano and film direction informs her cross-cultural approach to electro-folk and electronic music.
