Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legend brings his timeless hits and signature dance moves back to Fallsview Casino Resort March 9–11
NIAGARA FALLS, ON – October 27, 2026 – Get ready to twist again! Rock and roll legend Chubby Checker is heading back to Niagara Falls for three performances at the Avalon Theatre at Fallsview Casino Resort on March 9, 10 and 11, 2027.
The upcoming shows will mark Checker’s eighth engagement at Fallsview Casino Resort, where the legendary entertainer has become a familiar favourite among audiences. With decades of unforgettable music, infectious energy and a stage presence that continues to get people out of their seats, Checker promises another celebration of classic rock and roll.
Few entertainers have left a mark on popular music and dance quite like Chubby Checker. His groundbreaking recording of “The Twist” didn’t just become a massive hit; it helped launch a worldwide dance phenomenon that changed the way people experienced popular music.
Released in 1960, “The Twist” made history by reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in two separate chart runs, first in 1960 and again in 1962. The achievement helped establish Checker as one of the defining entertainers of the early rock and roll era.
But his musical legacy extends well beyond that one iconic song. Hits such as “Let’s Twist Again,” “Pony Time,” “The Fly,” “The Hucklebuck” and “Limbo Rock” kept dance floors moving and helped make him a household name during one of the most exciting periods in popular music history.
Checker’s influence went beyond the records themselves. His music helped popularize dances that encouraged audiences to get up, participate and become part of the entertainment. That connection between performer and audience remains an essential part of his live shows today.
More than six decades after introducing “The Twist” to a generation of music fans, Checker continues to bring his distinctive voice, personality and enthusiasm to the stage.
His lasting contributions to music and entertainment have earned him a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with recognition from the International Entertainment Buyers Association, which inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2026.
For fans in Niagara Falls and across Southern Ontario, the upcoming Avalon Theatre performances offer another opportunity to enjoy the songs and dance crazes that helped shape rock and roll history.
Whether you’ve been following his career since the early days or simply know the irresistible rhythm of “The Twist,” Checker’s return promises three performances filled with nostalgia, familiar favourites and plenty of reasons to get up and dance.
