More than five decades after they first teamed up in Australia, Air Supply continues to prove that great songs never go out of style. The legendary soft rock duo returned to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino on June 26 as part of their A Matter of Time Tour, delivering an evening filled with timeless hits, heartfelt performances and plenty of memorable moments.

The concert was the first of two sold-out shows in Niagara Falls, with the second taking place the following night. The back-to-back sellouts showed that the band’s popularity remains as strong as ever after more than 50 years together.

Niagara Falls has become a familiar stop for Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock. Before this weekend, Air Supply had already performed three times at the OLG Stage, appearing on February 29, 2024, and again on May 29 and 30, 2025. Long before the OLG Stage opened, the duo built a loyal following at Fallsview’s Avalon Theatre, where they performed 15 times between 2012 and 2019.

Opening with “Sweet Dreams,” the band quickly settled into the relaxed but polished style that has defined Air Supply for decades. Russell Hitchcock’s unmistakable voice still carried the soaring melodies with ease, while Graham Russell’s acoustic guitar and warm stage presence gave the show its familiar charm.

The evening moved effortlessly through one classic after another. “Even the Nights Are Better,” “Every Woman in the World,” “Here I Am,” “Chances,” and “Goodbye” reminded the audience why these songs continue to connect with generations of fans. Mixed into the set were newer songs including “A Matter of Time,” the title track from the current tour, along with and “Me and the River,” giving longtime fans something beyond the familiar radio hits.

One of the biggest strengths of today’s Air Supply is its outstanding touring band. The 2026 lineup features Russell Hitchcock on lead vocals and Graham Russell on vocals and acoustic guitar, backed by musical director Mirko Tessandori on piano and keyboards, Doug Gild on bass, Pavel Valdman on drums, and cellists Jessika Soli and Kat Findlay. This same lineup performed both sold-out Niagara Falls concerts on June 26 and 27.

Each musician brings something special to the show. Tessandori has served as Air Supply‘s musical director since 2016 and recreates many of the orchestral keyboard parts heard on the band’s classic recordings. Gild joined the group in 2017, while Czech drummer Pavel Valdman became part of the lineup in 2020, adding energy without ever overpowering the songs. The newest additions are cellists Jessika Soli and Kat Findlay, who joined in 2025.

Their arrival has noticeably changed the band’s live sound. The pair add rich layers to songs such as “Even the Nights Are Better,” “The One That You Love,” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.” Instead of relying entirely on keyboards to recreate the original arrangements, the live strings give these classics greater warmth and depth. The cellos have quickly become one of the most distinctive parts of the current Air Supply concert experience.

The second half of the concert continued with crowd favourites including “Two Less Lonely People in the World,” “The One That You Love,” and “Lost in Love.” Graham Russell’s acoustic guitar feature and Pavel Valdman’s energetic drum solo gave the audience a chance to appreciate the musicians behind the songs before the emotional high point of the night.

“Making Love Out of Nothing at All” closed the main set to a standing ovation.

For the encore, the band returned with a moving version of “Without You,” the Badfinger classic made famous by Harry Nilsson. Before long, the audience had turned the performance into one giant singalong. It was one of the most emotional moments of the evening.

The night ended with “All Out of Love.” Thousands of voices filled the OLG Stage as fans sang along.

After the final note faded, Graham Russell, Russell Hitchcock and the rest of the band walked to the front of the stage as The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” played through the speakers and began tossing roses to audience members, bringing a simple but heartfelt close to a memorable evening.

More than 50 years after Air Supply first began making music together, the duo continues to deliver exactly what fans hope to hear: timeless songs, outstanding musicianship and performances filled with heart. Judging by two sold-out nights in Niagara Falls, their music remains just as meaningful today as it was decades ago.
