Edmonton, Alberta, Canada’s King of Foxes recenty announced their fifth studio album, Someday You’ll See Yourself As Others Surely Do, A Thing to Leave Behind and present the debut single “Cinnamon Heart.”
Produced by Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother, Tegan and Sara) and Erik Nielsen (Frazey Ford, City and Colour), Someday You’ll See Yourself As Others Surely Do, A Thing to Leave Behind is set for release on September 29th via Ram On Records.
According to songwriter, band leader/vocalist Olivia Street, “Cinnamon Heart” is a song about desire: wanting everything, and not really knowing what to do with it once you get it. Remember those candygrams we used to send each other back in school? Sweet, spicy, irreverent… Everything felt heightened back then, and the song taps into that same energy: wanting too much, needing attention, chasing a feeling.”
