Press release –
At the 2026 East Coast Music Awards last month in her hometown of Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Elyse Aeryn took home the Release Of The Year honours for her single “Unstoppable” and opened the broadcast with a performance of “Kinda Don’t Mind” from her sophomore album ‘Everybody Loves You…’
To celebrate and mark the occasion, a new single and video are being RELEASED TODAY of a song that reflects an alignment of personal meaning and cultural timing.
Alanis Morissette’s music carried Elyse Aeryn through many tough times over the years, but when recovery from a motorcycle collision delayed her album’s release and halted her momentum, those songs became mantras. Upon her return to the stage in February this year, before a sold-out hometown crowd, she sang “Everything’s gonna be fine, fine, fine.” A perfect refrain in these uncertain times.
Captured live in Membertou, NS, this rendition of “Hand in My Pocket” reframes a generational anthem as intimate and communal, a moment of relief and release shared between an artist almost taken too soon and her adoring audience.
Elyse Aeryn is also announcing her upcoming ‘Everybody Loves You…’ Tour which kicked off recently in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at the Food For The Ears Festival and includes an Ontario run this October.
