On January 5, 2017 Big Wreck announced on Facebook that guitarist Paulo Neta has departed the band. This precedes the band’s cross-Canada tour which begins January 27 in Vancouver, BC and a new album release, Grace Street, on February 3.

The following is from Big Wreck‘s Facebook page:

Beloved Big Wreck fans,
It’s with a heavy heart that we announce Paulo’s departure from the band. He has chosen to take a different path in his life and we stand behind his decision, and beside him for life. He is our brother and he will be missed greatly. There will always be room for him on any stage I play on. Ian & BW

On his own Facebook page Paulo wrote:

I just want to take a minute and thank my brothers Ian Thornley, Brian Doherty, Chuck D. Keeping, and Dave for the incredible journey!! I have loved every minute of being a part of Thornley and Big Wreck! I have accomplished many of my life dreams with these guys and I feel blessed to have been apart of an amazing group of incredibly talented musicians. I am humbled by all of the support and kind words everyone has offered and I am eternally grateful to the band, my family, my friends and the fans. Thank you for all the love! Take it eashe! -Paulo

Best of luck to Paulo!
