With the release of “Mindweaver“ (2020) a concept album that critics around the world have drawn parallels to “Operation Mindcrime“, “Scenes From A Memory“ and “The Wall“, Norwegian progressive metal act Course Of Fate stated that they deserved a spot in the progressive metal community. Getting top scores in many of the biggest magazines and webzines.
The sophomore album “Somnium“ (2023) also got high ratings all around the globe. With a modern sound combined with songs where you can hear numerous influences spanning from Bands like Pink Floyd, Queensryche and Dream Theater to outfits like Evergrey, Soen and Pain of Salvation.
Course Of Fate’s third and upcoming album, Behind the Eclipse, will be released early 2026, and will feature a very diverse set of compositions and gives the listener the heaviest Course Of Fate album to date, but still with numerous progressive twists and turns. Although it is not a concept album, all songs on “Behind The Eclipse“ has a common tread throughout, where the interaction of darkness and light plays the main role.
