Press release –
Emerging Michigan metalcore band Fault of the People officially announce the release of their debut single and music video, “Puppet,” arriving on all streaming platforms today. The track serves as the first release from the band’s forthcoming five-song EP, which will roll out one song at a time throughout the year.
Produced by Robbie Litchfield at Hell Here Studios, “Puppet” introduces listeners to the band’s aggressive yet melodic sound, blending crushing heaviness, soaring melodies, emotional intensity, and dynamic vocal performances setting the tone for the entire EP rollout.
“Puppet” confronts the reality of being trapped in a controlling and manipulative relationship where the truth reveals itself over time before reaching a breaking point. “This song is about realizing someone’s been pulling the strings and choosing to break free.”
The single was accompanied by an official music video premiering on YouTube the same day as the release. To support the launch, the band rolled out a fan-driven pre-save campaign and giveaway aimed at building momentum and connecting directly with new listeners. The fans are excited about this release!
