Collective Soul, Our Lady Peace and Tonic brought their travelling rock n roll show to the Corbin Arena in Corbin, Kentucky June 23rd. One good thing I can say among many good things about the Corbin Arena is that when they advertise a 7:30 start time that’s exactly what they mean. This night was no different; house lights down at 7:30 – bring on Tonic! Their seven song set included Open Your Eyes, Knock Down Walls and of course If You Could Only See.

Our Lady Peace took the Corbin Arena stage next. Amidst a superb light show they performed a 10 song set including Superman’s Dead, Paper Moon, Drop Me in the Water and closed with Starseed.

After a short break while the crews worked quickly to change out equipment. Collective Soul took the stage. With very high energy they tore into Simple. Singer Ed Roland didn’t miss a beat while moving around the stage with mic stand in hand. Fourth song of the set was the crowd favorite Shine followed with Better Now. They even worked Right As Rain – a new song – into the set. The rest of the night was Collective Soul at their best. The Corbin Arena crowd was treated to such hits as December, The World I Know and Gel closing the night out with Run. Members of Tonic and Our Lady Peace joined Collective Soul on stage.
