Denny Laine: On the Run In Buffalo, NY

(Buffalo, NY) – It’s hard to believe the album Band on the Run by Paul McCartney and Wings is over 40 years old!

Band on the Run was the third studio album by Paul McCartney and Wings, released in December 1973. It marked the fifth album by McCartney since his departure from the Beatles in April 1970. Wings also featured McCartney’s wife Linda McCartney and singer/guitarist Denny Laine. The three of them were the core of the band during its entire existence from 1971 to 1981.

Denny Laine recently made in stop in Buffalo, NY and played to a sold-out crowd at the Sportsmen’s Tavern on January 25, 2015.

Laine is a co-founding member and original vocalist for the Moody Blues. They had a hit with a cover of Bessie Bank’s ‘Go Now’ found on the Moody Blues‘ debut album The Magificient Moodies (1965).

The show featured Laine with a backup band performing the Wings‘ album Band On the Run in its entirety plus other hits by the Wings and Moody Blues!

After the show Laine did a meet and greet with fans to pose for photos and sign autographs.

Laine, who recently turned 70, was very gracious. It was definitely a great night with a music legend!
