Elvis Costello and the Imposters with special guest Nicole Atkins play the Artpark Ampitheater next Tuesday, August 9.

Costello, an English singer-songwriter and record producer, has won multiple awards in his career, including Grammy Awards in 1999 and 2020, and has twice been nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Male Artist. In 2003, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Costello number 80 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

Known for such hits as Veronica and Pump It Up, Costello released his 32nd studio album earlier this year with the Imposters  – The Boy Named If – released on January 14, 2022, by EMI Records and Capitol Records. Also this year, he released The Resurrection Of Rust, a collaboration with Rusty.

Opening the show will be Nicole Atkins, an American singer-songwriter from New Jersey. Her influences include 1950s crooner music, 1960s psychedelia, soul music, and the Brill Building style of writing. Atkins has been compared to Roy Orbison and singers from the Brill Building era. Since 2006, Atkins has released five solo EPs and six solo albums, the latest being Memphis Ice (2021).
