One of the many shows held during NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) weekend was Metal Allegiance Performing a Tribute to Our Fallen Heroes. Before the headlining act was Greek god Gus G. of Firewind with his U.S. band, vocalist James Paul Luna (Holy Grail), Marty O’Brien (Lita Ford), drummer Alex Bent (Trivium) performing a forty-minute set of Firewind and Gus G’s solo material leaving the fans wanting more. Hopefully we’ll see Firewind tour the States later in the year.

With all the excitement surrounding Gus G’s NAMM 2017 weekend, introducing his new Signature Star guitar with Jackson Guitars and the release of Firewind’s Immortals via AFM records. Watching Gus G. perform was icing on the cake.

Firewind is on the last leg of their European tour in support of their new release Immortals. The latest news coming out of the Firewind camp, for the first time Firewind will be in Russia for two shows Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Keeping a busy schedule Gus G. announced a brief solo tour in Asia the end of March, then teaming up with James Paul Luna (Holy Grail) for a European acoustic solo tour supporting Steve Stevens in April.

Firewind’s Immortals via AFM records (North American release) reach the US charts earlier this month. Congratulations, may it continue to climb!
