Hometown Rising Festival Spotlight: Dillon Carmichael; Tickets Still Available

Dillon Carmichael will be one of the upcoming acts at this year’s Hometown Rising Festival. This is a brand-new festival presented by Danny Wimmer Presents and takes place in Louisville, Kentucky at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Sept. 14 and 15.

I expect great things from this festival. With a killer country music lineup, this festival will be any country music fan’s dream! Dillon will be another reason why you should attend the Hometown Rising Festival this year. You do not want to miss his set at Hometown Rising! With that said, let’s discuss Dillon Carmichael.

Dillon Carmichael is from the town of Burgin, Kentucky – about an hour from Louisville. I think it’s interesting the Hometown Rising bill has an act from Kentucky, especially since the festival is taking place in Louisville. Dillon brings a traditional country sound to the table. His voice is deep, making sure to soothe your ears. Whatever Dillon is singing about, you’ll feel it deep inside your bones. I think it’s unique this style of country is still making its presence known. Dillon keeps it alive with the twangy guitars, steel guitar, and imagery into a country boy’s life. Dillon makes mountains shake with his powerful voice. Songs like Dancing Away With My Heart, Old Songs Like That and Old Flame makes you feel raw emotion coming from his voice. Dillon grew up loving acts like Waylon Jennings and Vern Gosdin.

As a kid, he loved rock ‘n roll he heard on the radio. As you listen to Dillon, you can pick up on influences of all these. He released a new single in June 2019 called I Do For You. His debut album Hell On An Angel was released in 2018. This is a very tremendous album from start to finish. I would recommend this to any country or rock fan. It has the best of both worlds.

Dillon Carmichael is the nephew of Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry. Eddie has helped his nephew to reach where he is. Dillon has the country music running through his veins with Eddie being his uncle and both being from Kentucky.

You do not want to miss Dillon Carmichael’s performance. This will be an amazing show, no doubt in my mind. Dillon is set to play Sunday, Sept. 15. You will leave a fan and his album in your hand. No questions asked.
