Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses live at Budweiser Gardens – May 14, 2016

The “We Were Here” tour, headlined by country rock artist Jason Aldean, came to Budweiser Gardens in London on Saturday, May 14th, and played to a full crowd.  Aldean, returning to the Gardens for the first time since February 2014, brought with him special guests Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses.

The show opened with a set by A Thousand Horses.  This first set which included the bands hit single Smoke, set the tone for the evening, loud and enthusiastic. While the band has only four members in the studio, on stage they were augmented by five others, including three female backup singers.

The shows momentum continued during the stage change over between each set with entertainment being provided by RCA Nashville recording artist DeeJay Silver,

Thomas Rhett played the next set, which included performing a few numbers by himself on acoustic guitar as well as one song on the drums.  Thomas played Rock the Park here in London last summer and as was evidenced by the singing and dancing in the audience was certainly welcome back.

The energy in the room reached a peak as Jason Aldean hit the stage.  When the lights went down, the audience rose the their feet, with the dancing and cheering continuing from the previous acts.  Some of the songs played were Just Getting Started, his newest hit Lights Come On, Don’t You Want To Stay, She’s Country, and ended with Crazy Town.  He had this arena full of fans in the palm of his hand from start to finish.  As far as the fans were concerned, the only low point of the evening was when the lights went on after the last note at the end of the last song.  It was over.
