Our Lady Peace, the Canadian alt-rock band behind hit singles such as Clumsy and Superman’s Dead, performed at Casino Rama for their “Wonderful Future Tour” recently. The band was joined by special guests Juno-award-winners Monowhales as openers, who brought their own unique sound and energy to the stage.

Monowhales performance can be described as dynamic and spirited. Front woman Sally Shaars’ petite but powerful persona engaged the crowd with ease. Her likeability factor is boundless.

Guitarist Zach Zanardo enthusiasm caught the best of him as he shredded into a solo, not fully paying attention to his surroundings, he tripped backward over a stage monitor! The crowd gasped as he tumbled, however, Zanardo didn’t skip a note, rolled it off, and continued as if nothing happened. Professionalism at its finest.

Monowhales performed for nearly 45 minutes and were a great addition to this event.

This event marked the beginning of a new era in live music performances. With the help of AI generated characters and other innovative technologies, Our Lady Peace was able to create an unforgettable experience for their fans. The combination of live music, AI generated visuals and Ray Kurzweil’s thought-provoking talk made this event one that will be remembered for years to come.

The show featured a special collaboration between Our Lady Peace and Pussy Riot as they performed the single Stop Making Stupid People Famous. This powerful and timely song speaks to our current political climate, with its message of standing up against those in power who use their influence to oppress people and spread hatred. Nadya Tolokonnikova (Pussy Riot) didn’t actually perform in person but accompanied the band via video montage.

Our Lady Peace performed a 17-song set list, ending the show with a memorable rendition of Starseed and leaving everyone in the audience feeling uplifted and energized. Our Lady Peace‘s performance at Casino Rama proved why they are one of Canada’s most beloved bands and why they will continue to captivate audiences for years to come.
