Artpark’s Tuesdays In the Park in Lewiston, NY kicks off June 12 with Steven Tyler and Loving Mary. Tyler is considered as one of music’s most recognizable and dynamic frontmen as lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, formed in 1970.

Over the years Aerosmith, who has won numerous awards, released 15 studio albums with a number of hits including Dream On, Walk This Way, I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, Sweet Emotion, Janie’s Got a Gun, Love in an Elevator, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), Cryin’, Livin’ on the Edge, Angel and many more.

Joining Tyler on stage will be Loving Mary, a six-piece band featuring Canadian singer Suzy McNeil. Loving Mary, based out of Nashville, began as duo when McNeil hooked up with singer/songwriter Marti Frederiksen. The two first met in 2005 after McNeil finished Rockstar: INXS. The two hit it off and began working together.

Loving Mary will be on stage with Steven Tyler on June 12 to help kick off Tuesdays in the Park at Artpark in Lewiston, NY.

Frederiksen, who co-wrote Aerosmith‘s song Jaded,  had previously worked with such artists as Carrie Underwood, Buckcherry, Daughtry, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and Aerosmith. He was also the lead vocalist for the fictitious band Stillwater in the 2000 movie Almost Famous.

The band is rounded out by McNeil’s husband Andrew Mactaggart (who was once a member of Canadian Country singer Tim Hicks’ band), two-time Grammy winner Rebecca Lynn Howard and her husband Elisha Hoffman – a songwriter, musician and producer who has worked with such artists as Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain – and drummer Sarah Tomek.

Steven Tyler and Loving Mary are currently on a U.S. tour and head over to Europe in mid-July. Tyler released a solo album in 2016 called We’re All Somebody From Somewhere which had two releases – the title track and Red, White & You.

Artpark will be Tyler’s first area appearance with Loving Mary since March 2016 when they played two nights at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Canada.

And on an interesting side note, if you grew up in the Niagara Falls area on either side of the border you may remember the old Marineland commercials. The voice you hear singing the jingle is the voice of Suzy McNeil.
