(Buffalo, NY) – The Summerland Tour made a stop at Canalside Buffalo on June 18. This year the annual 1990s music tour features Everclear, American Hi-Fi , Fuel and The Toadies. The Toadies, however, were not part of the Buffalo show.
The tour, created by Everclear vocalist Art Alexakis and Sugar Ray vocalist Mark McGrath, made its debut in 2012. In the past the tour featured Live, Sponge, Gin Blossoms, Sugar Ray, Lit, Filter, Soul Asylum, and more.
American Hi-Fi got the show started just after 7 p.m. after being introduced by Alexakis. Singer Stacy Jones told fans that he will be playing bass as well because bassist Drew Parsons is ill and American Hi-Fi will be playing as a trio for the second time ever.
The 8-song set included mostly older material from the band’s 2001 self-titled album and 2003’s The Art of Losing. Scar got the band underway followed by The Break Up Song, Vertigo, Hi-Fi Killer and more.

Next up was Fuel, once again introduced by Alexakis. Brett Scallions is the only original member left in the band and they started out their set with Last Time, Empty Spaces and a string of familiar hits such as Bad Day, Shimmer, Sunburn, Bitterweet and Hemorrhage (In My Hands).

Headliners Everclear finished the night off and was introduced by Stacy Jones, Jones also sat in on drums for Everclear. Heroin Girl started the set followed by such hits as Everything To Everyone, Wonderful, I Will Buy You A New Life and a cover of Van Morrison‘s Brown Eyed Girl.
Brett Scallions joined Everclear on stage for part of their set.
Everclear finished the night off with an encore of Santa Monica.
