Vans Warped Tour is one of the longest running and hardest working festivals in music. During its Canterbury Park stop in Shakopee, MN, Known for its huge, diverse crowds, an abundance of resources, suicide awareness and prevention booth, charities, organizations, cool, free swag and amazing music lineup throughout the day, are the reasons why it’s had such great success.

This year started just like most others, with doors opening at 11 a.m sharp. With hundreds of teens pumped up, waiting in line, screaming with excitement at the site of huge rows of tour busses parked across the parking lot hoping to catch a glimpse of any band members. They get ready to rush into the grounds to get the first view of the day’s lineup schedule on the Vans inflatable.

It’s very important because that’s where you go to find out what bands play on which stages and at what times. Most people whip out their phones and take a quick pic so that they’ll know what stage to be at and what time. Other fans had the opportunity to play games at the big orange Truth Truck for the chance to win some pretty cool prizes like socks, shirts, leggings, and even skate decks.

There were a few veteran bands on this year’s tour that had fans really excited like Gwar, CKY and Anti Flag. Other Warped Tour favorites and veterans like Bless The Fall, Attila, Andy Black, Beartooth, Bowling For Soup, I Prevail and Silverstein. The Barb Wire Dolls joined the tour all the way from Crete, Greece.
